UMTH Chief Medical Director disclaims Facebook page operating in his name

Prof. Ahmed Ahidjo, the chief medical director, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Professor Ahmed Ahidjo disclaimed a Facebook page operating in his name.
The CMD who stated this in a press statement on Monday, warned the public against activities of some fraudsters who are using his name for fraudulent activities on social media.
He said fraudsters have opened a fake Facebook account in his name, Ahmed Ahidjo, carrying his photograph as the profile picture and are using it to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
E-signed by Ismail Hashim, his assistant, the CMD explained that the fraudsters are using the fake account to solicit money from ‘members of the public in the name of recruitment and contract offers, among other.
‘The public is hereby informed that the account is fake and has nothing to do with the CMD”, the statement said.
He disclosed that relevant security agencies have already been informed of the situation and necessary actions will be taken accordingly.
“For the record, the CMD will never descend to such pettiness as soliciting for money in order to offer jobs”, the press statement added.
It further explained that the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital has relevant offices handling recruitments, guided by laid down procedures,’ the disclaimer read.
