UMTH CMD Condole Nigerians over Buharis Demise

The Chief Medical Director, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Prof Ahmed Ahidjo has expressed his deep sympathy over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Prof Ahidjo who conveyed his condolences to the immediate family of Late Muhammadu Buhari and Nigeria as a whole, in a press statement, described him as a leader whose life was defined by honesty integrity, trust and commitment to serve his father land Nigeria with all his energy.

The CMD said that the news of Buhari’s demise threw him into serious sadness and a deep sense of personal loss to UMTH.

He further described the late former President as a great mentor, elder-statesman and a leader whose contributions to Nigeria will remain indelible.

“If we remember his early days as a disciplined and principled military leader and his emergence as a twice-elected civilian President, Muhammadu Buhari remained continuous in his co values of simplicity, trust accountability, and service to the Nation,” the CMD said.

“On behalf of the entire management, staff and hospitals community, I extend our condolences to the wife, children, his entire family, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigerian government and people of Nigeria”, Prof Ahidjo noted.

“May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, accept his noble deeds, and reward him with Aljannatul Firdaus. May Allah comfort us all as we come to terms with the death of this remarkable statesman,” he prayed.
