2027: Katagum Youth Forum drums support for Sen Buba, says President Tinubu deserves second term

The Katagum Youth Forum and Salvation has called on the people of Bauchi state to elect Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial district, Senator Shehu Buba Umar as the next governor of Bauchi state come 2027.
The chairman of the Forum, Comrade Idris Umar Chinade who made the call in an exclusive interview with our correspondent on Tuesday, disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also deserves the massive support and votes of Nigerians to serve the country for the second term.
Comrade Chinade reasoned that senator Buba and president Tinubu have performed very well within their areas of responsibilities.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is an activist and a true politician who masters how to bring succour to the people, and that is why we are supporting him, some people even call us Tinubu”, he said.
According to him, Tinubu has within two years of his administration fought hunger in the country and the citizens are having enough to eat at affordable amount.
“We have been in the APC right from the time of the merger, during that time we sensitize the people about the benefits of the APC and they are understanding us”, he said.
“We want the President to come back because of his laudable developmental strides, he has done a lot for the Nigerian people and more are in the pipeline”, Comrade Chinade added.
He further explained; “You can see that the price of food has fallen everywhere in the country, this is a great achievement”.
Comrade Chinade said due to the turn of events, members of the forum under his leadership is getting it easy to sell the second term bid of the president anywhere they go.
“Now we don’t have challenges telling our people to vote for Tinubu come 2027”, he stated.
He further commended senator Shehu Buba Umar for considering the whole Bauchi state as his constituency, maintaining that, with the good work of the president, the APC is gaining wide acceptance across Bauchi state.
According to him, Senator Shehu Buba Umar of Bauchi South Senatorial district is giving an impetus to the growth of the APC in Bauchi due to his good representation.
“He is a senator for Bauchi South but the positive impact of his representation has spread across the whole state, we in Bauchi North have not been left out, recently he donated items to flood victims in Bauchi North, we are grateful to”, he said.
Comrade Chinade called on the APC members to support Senator Shehu Buba to become the governorship flag bearer of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We are calling on the senator to please accept the calls from the people of Bauchi state to contest for the position of Governor, we have seen his capacity, he is tested and trusted and we are sure that he will not fail us”, he pointed out.
Chinade recalled that after the general elections in 2023, due to internal issues, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi North lost many seats, and was left with very few.
“We had leadership problem, they couldn’t reasoned well to allow competent candidates to emerge, no one was ready to concede to another, but we are sure that if good party leaders emerge this time around, APC is going to resuscitate and record a lot of successes”, the forum’s chairman said.
According to him, prio to the last general elections, many of the party members played anti party which led to APC’s poor election outing.
He said that the forum’s objectives is to create awareness campaign for youth and women and even elders about who deserves their votes and what they stand to benefit from democracy.
