Maiduguri Varsity Hospital CMD, Prof Ahidjo bags APPON’s Excellence Award

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Professor Ahmed Ahidjo has been recognized with the award of Excellence by the Association of Public Procurement Practitioners of Nigeria (APPON).

According to APPON, the prestigious award was in recognition of the CMD’s valuable contributions to procurement practice and National Development.

The National President of APPON Dr. Emem James Kanico while presenting the award yesterday, noted that the award became necessary considering the transformational and infrastructural drive seen at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.

He observed that the transformation is evident in the CMD’s effort in propagating good Governance through effective implementation of public procurement programme.

Responding, the MD, Professor Ahmed Ahidjo appreciated APPON for the award and assured of the hospital’s resolve to continue to partner with the Association.
