Bauchi 2027: Coalition endorses Senator Jika for Governor

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a group under the platform of Coalition of concerned people of Bauchi state has drummed support for Senator Halliru Dauda Jika’s Bauchi Governorship ambition.
The group which stated this at a one day sensitization and awareness meeting in Darazo local government area of the state weekend, vowed to continue advocating and mobilizing support to ensure that Jika emerged as Bauchi governor in 2027.
The Advocacy meeting, which brought together politicians, youth, and women, aimed to sensitize the people on the importance of supporting Senator Jika’s aspiration.
The State Chairman of the coalition, Hon. Ahmad Yero, explained that the exercise was designed to educate the people of Bauchi Central Zone on their roles in Dokaji’s Movement.
Hon. Yero highlighted Senator Jika’s impressive track record, including his service as Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Member representing Gamjuwa/Darazo Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, and Senator representing Bauchi Central Zone at the Senate Assembly.
He also said Halliru Jika served as Chairman of the House Committee on Police Affairs, demonstrating his capacity for leadership.
The coalition chairman emphasized that Senator Jika has decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and called on the citizens of Bauchi Central Zone to rally behind him in his bid for governorship under the ADC platform.
Ahmad Yero expressed confidence that Senator Jika’s leadership skills and experience would be invaluable to the state.
Speaking on behalf of Bauchi Central Zone, LGAs Coordinators Muhammad Shatima Abubakar, promised total support for Senator Jika aspiration.
He stated that the coalition and Senator Halliru Dauda Jika is committed to reshaping the future of Bauchi State, particularly in the areas of healthcare, education, agriculture, and job opportunities.
Abubakar noted that Senator Jika’s vision for the state aligns with the coalition’s goals, and that his leadership would bring about positive change.
He urged the people of Bauchi Central Zone to join hands with the coalition in supporting Senator Jika’s gubernatorial bid.
“The group’s mobilization efforts are ready to play a crucial role in drumming up support for the senator’s aspiration”, he said.
According to him, the coalition’s endorsement of Senator Jika’s candidacy sends a strong message about his potential to lead Bauchi State.
