Dambam LG chairman gifts 16 motorcycles to Councillors, distributes food items to Muslims

The executive chairman of Dambam local government area, Honourable Yakubu Garba Tela has distributed 16 motorcycles to councillors across wards of the local government.
The chairman also distributed food items to the people of Dambam to assist them in the ongoing Ramadan fasting period.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the chairman said the gesture was meant to replicate what Governor Bala Mohammed of the is doing for the citizens.
“His Excellency, the Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed gave us vehicles to help us in carrying out our responsibilities, that is why I am following his footsteps by providing all our 16 council members in Dambam local government with brand new motorcycles”, he said.
The local government chairman who advised the councillors to use the motorcycles for the purpose it was meant for, urged them to always consult their various wards with a view to listening to their plights.
He appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed for providing foodstuffs to the people of the local government area for this year’s Ramadan period.
“We thank His Excellency for the food items. He brought Rice, sugar and other essential foodstuff for the people of Dambam local Government in order to support them during the Holy month of Ramadan”, the chairman disclosed.
He assured the people of Dambam that the food stuff will reach to all the polling units, especially to the less privileged people to cushion the present hardship been experienced in the country.
In his remarks, the Leader of the Councillors Hon Usman Hussain of Dagauda ward expressed appreciation to the executive chairman and assured him hundred percent cooperation to enable him fulfil the promises made during electioneering campaigns.
Among those who attended the occasion, include Alh iliya isah the deputy chairman of Dambam local government, chairman of the Dambam local government People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Isah Usman Dagauda, Baba Mai Block Dambam, Afafata Jalam, Alh Shayibu Buya, Alh Sani Mai Mai,local government staff, PDP members across the local government and the general public.
