We’ve recorded over 70 % performance in 2025 budget – Bauchi Gov Mohammed says

The Governor of Bauchi state, Senator Bala Mohammed has rated the state’s budget performance in the 2025 fiscal year at 70 percent.
As contained in a press statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant SSA on Communication, Abdulwab Muhammad, the budget performance has accelerated development and execution of laudable projects and programmes that have direct bearing in the lives of the citizens.
The SSA disclosed that the governor made the remark while presiding over the State Executive Council SEC meeting at the EXCO chambers of the government house.
According to Bala Mohammed, his administration has recorded a remarkable budget execution rate of over 70% for the 2025 fiscal year.
He said revenue generation has also exceeded initial projections, signaling a robust fiscal outlook and a promising economic future for the state.
“In a recently convened extraordinary session, the SEC conducted a comprehensive review of the 2025 budget performance and ongoing development initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of Bauchi residents”, the pres statement said.
It noted key developments that includes, healthcare, in which the state specialist hospital is undergoing upgrade and renovation in order to improve healthcare delivery by enhancing medical facilities and services across the state.
The governor also mentioned that the establishment of new roads in the Government Residential Area (GRA) will boost urban development, improve accessibility, and facilitate smoother transportation within the area.
Bala Mohammed emphasized that the critical need to bolster education, health, and agricultural sectors, are been recognized as pillars for sustainable growth and socio-economic advancement.
Abdulwab Muhammad said Governor Mohammed also stressed the importance of strict budgetary discipline and prudent financial management in achieving the state’s development goals.
“Furthermore, the government is actively pursuing strategic partnerships with international development agencies to leverage additional resources and technical expertise to accelerate key projects”, the statement said.
It noted that the impressive budget performance and focused development agenda underscore Bauchi State Government’s unwavering commitment to delivering tangible improvements and fostering sustainable growth for its citizens.
