Ramadan: Bauchi Rep member Sani Ibrahim Tanko donates N100m, foodstuff to constituents

The member representing Shira/Giade federal constituency at the Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Hon Sani Ibrahim Tanko has disbursed the sum of N100 million, including assorted foodstuffs to his constituents in order to help them participate with esse, in this year’s Ramadan fasting period.
on Saturday in Yana, Shira local Government.
Speaking at the disbursement ceremony during the weekend, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, urged other lawmakers to emulate him.
Governor Mohammed who was represented by his adviser Political, Hon Musa Haruna Shitu Zaki, described Hon Sani Ibrahim Tanko as best national assembly member who has always bring to his constituency, dividends of democracy.
“I have been witnessing this kind of gesture from Hon Tanko for almost seven times and I wish to congratulate the people of Shira/Giade for having a son that is representing them very well”, he said.
The Governor further challenged all the elected politicians to open their doors to the public to enable them win the 2027 election with ease.
In his speech, state deputy chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Falalu Attah congratulated the people of Shira/Giade for having such a good representative at the national assembly.
The organiser, Hon Sani Ibrahim Tanko in his remarks, said it was necessary that political office holders wakeup to the occasion and assist the people who voted them into power.
“It should be our collective responsibility to bring PDP back to power them in 2027. I will use this opportunity to call on the good people of Shira/Giade federal constituency to continue supporting his excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir to live up to his campaign promises to People of Bauchi state”, Sani said.
Giving summary of the distribution of the money and the foodstuffs, Alhaji Yayanuwa Zainabari, the member stakeholders committee said N4 million was allocated to Shira And Giade LG and 50 Bags of Rice, and Spagetti (Taliya). While Disina, Yana, and Giade received N500,000 each through the state members House of Assembly.
He added that, Yana, Giade and Shira towns received 2 million each while Social Media team got N1 million, and among others.
In his goodwill message, Caretaker Chairman, Shira local government, appreciated the gesture of the lawmaker chairman appreciate and prayed almighty Allah to bless him .
Among those who graced the occasion include, Hon Adamu Bello, Adviser to His Excellency, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir, Commissioner of Information and Culture, PDP party Chairmen of Shira and Giade Among others.
