NPHCDA donates Medical Consumables to Maiduguri Varsity Teaching Hospital

National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has donated medical consumables to the University Of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH).

The Chief Medical Director CMD of the hospital, Professor Ahmed Ahidjo made this known in a press statement on Friday.

According him, the UMTH under his management, had received a boost following the donation of essential medical consumables from the NPHCDA.

Prof Ahidjo mentioned the medical consumables received to include labour and delivery equipment, theatre and neonatal care items.

The press statement said all the donated items were handed over to the Chief Medical Director, Professor Ahmed Ahidjo.

It explained that the Executive Director National Primary Health Care Development Agency who was represented by the Borno State Coordinator NPHCDA Mohammed Shettima, said the gesture was part of the Agency’s effort to strengthen health care delivery in the Region.

He emphasized the Agency’s commitment to supporting tertiary health Institutions.

Chief Medical Director UMTH Professor Ahmed Ahidjo commended the NPHCDA for the donation, saying the items will go along way in boosting health care delivery in Borno and beyond as well as help in training health workers who may also work in Primary Health care Centres.
