Darazo LG Chairman gives Ramadan stipend to staff, others

As Ramadan fasting period enters day 16 on Sunday, the executive chairman of Darazo local government area, Honourable Samaila Yau Sade has assisted the local government staff with a stipend to help them in participating in the holy exercise.The gesture according to him, was also to ease the hardship been faced by the LG staff while awaiting their February salaries nationwide.Speaking to our Correspondent in a phone call, the chairman said he has disbursed a small amount of money in order to alleviate the hardship that the local government staff are facing, including members of the general public.”It is our responsibility to assist the needy in our area especially during the Ramadan period”, he said.While stating that the money given wasn’t which is better than none, the chairman called on the Muslim Ummah to use the month of Ramadan and feed the needy.He equally urged the people of Darazo to pray for peace in the local government, Bauchi state and beyond.
