Ahmadu Bello memorial foundation gives merit award to Sarauniya Charity Foundation

The Sir Ahmadu Bello memorial foundation has given an award of honor to Sarauniya Charity foundation (SCF) for distinguishing itself in the area of selfless service to humanity.

Speaking at the award ceremony which took place in February 24th, 2025, the founder of Sarauniya Charity foundation, Ambassador Hajiya Rabiatu Sa’idu Umar described the award as a landmark moment in the foundation’s journey as a humanitarian organization.

“On this extraordinary day, I had the distinct honor of receiving the “Distinguished Merit Award” from the prestigious Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation”, she said.

According to the founder of the SCF, “the recognition is not just a personal achievement but a celebration of our relentless dedication to transforming lives, empowering communities, and driving sustainable change across Nigeria”.

Amb. Umar further described the award as a profound acknowledgment of the impact SCF has made through advocacy, humanitarian aid, and social development initiatives.

Hajiya Rabiatu Sa’idu Umar added that the award reinforces the power of collective action and serves as a symbol of what can be achieved when passion meets purpose.

She said: “more than just an accolade, this recognition is a beacon of hope—a call to continue the work of uplifting the most vulnerable, fostering resilience, and inspiring change”.

According to her, the esteem presence of many northern governors, emirs and illustrious sons and daughters of Northern Nigeria added immense value to the event.

She expressed gratitude to the Sir Ahmadu Bello memorial foundation and all the dignitaries for gracing the event, saying their unwavering belief in SCF vision to build a more just, equitable, and prosperous society.

The SCF founder disclosed that such support, recognition and attestation fuels her foundation’s determination to do even more.

She stated: “receiving the award is more than an acknowledgment, it is a responsibility, a reminder that our work is far from over”.

Hajiya Umar said that the honor reinforces foundation’s resolve to amplify its efforts in humanitarian relief, education, clean water initiatives, women’s empowerment, and climate action.

“At Sarauniya Charity Foundation, we believe that true impact comes from service, compassion, and dedication. This recognition strengthens our determination to continue advocating for the underserved, expanding our initiatives, and fostering sustainable development in communities across Nigeria and beyond”, she said.
