Maiduguri Varsity Teaching Hospital CMD hosts stakeholders to iftar

The Chief Medical Director of University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital UMTH, Professor Ahmed Ahidjo has on behalf of the Management of the health institution, hosted Borno State Stakeholders to an Iftar (Ramadan Fast-breaking) at his resident on Sunday.

The event was conducted in recognition of the stakeholders’ outstanding contributions to the development of healthcare sector in the State.

Our correspondent reports that shortly after breaking of the fast, the Chief Imam of University of Maiduguri, Imam Ali Goni Gabchia prayed for the Hospital, host community, Borno State and Nigeria as a whole.

Professor Ahidjo in a keynote address, appreciated the stakeholders for honouring his invitation.

He also acknowledged their unwavering support, assuring of the hospital’s unalloyed commitment to the provision of quality health care service delivery to the people of Borno state and the North East Region in general.

Stakeholders in attendance include the Borno State Commissioner of Information, Professor Usman Tar, representative of the Shehu of Borno, Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri, Professor Muhammad Laminu Mele, Vice Chancellor Borno State University, Professor Babagana Gutti, Medical Director Police Clinic Damaturu, Professor Bashir Tahir and the representative of Medical Director, Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Maiduguri, Professor Ibrahim Wakawa.

Other were, the Medical Directors of various Hospitals across the North East region, former Chief Medical Director UMTH, Professor Othman Kyari, Top Management Committee of the Hospital and various Heads of Department among other dignitaries.
