2023: Declare For Presidency Within 30-Days Or Takes You To Court, Groups To Gov. Tambuwal

Eleven Support groups under auspices of North East Amalgamated Association have called on the former Speaker of the House of Representatives who is also the Governor of Sokoto State Aminu Waziri Tambuwal to declare his intention for President of Nigeria within 30 days.


The Associations made the unanimous call during its North East Zonal meeting of Coordinators from various supporting groups of Tambuwal for President weekend in Bauchi.
They threatened to drag him to court if he failed to contest for president come the 2023 general election. 
Engineer Adamu Karofi, President of the Association, said endorsement of Tambuwal was as a result of his track records and service delivery to humanity and to our great country Nigeria.


He said, “During his tenure as a Speaker, Federal Republic of Nigeria, which brought about unity, integrity, peace, and justice to our country, as well as numerous contributions to the party affairs both in People Democratic Party PDP, and All Progressive Congress APC, with a good legal advice respectively,” he said.
He further explained that “Since the creation of the Sokoto State, the people of State of the Caliphate has never witnessed the real dividend of democracy like that of Tambuwal tenure in the areas of; education, health, security, rural and urban development, empowerment of youth and women across all the LGAs in the state.


“These achievements became possible due to Tambuwal’s experience, maturity and his faculty of understanding the various ethnicities, cultural diversity and religious differences,” he said.
The amalgamated group also declared that what Nigerians needed most is the right choice, right candidates of someone like Tambuwal to lead and take the country to the promised land in the forthcoming general election, 2023.


According to the group, Tambuwal is the only candidate who answered the 3 forms of a government definition  “Executive as Governor of Sokoto, Legislature as former Speaker, and Judiciary as Legal practitioner Lawyer, these qualified him to be our Nigerian next leader.”


The Amalgamated Association thereafter said it would also forward the copies of their demands to the Anthoney General, Secretary to the State Government and State House of Assembly of Sokoto State over their intentions against the Governor if he refused to act on their calls. 


Also speaking, Women leader of the group Hajiya Aisha Baturiya  called on the government to fulfill its earlier promise to give the women more slots in the Nigeria political system with a view to give them a sense of belonging.
