2023: WHY UNIVERSITY DON WANTS TO REPLACE FORMER SPEAKER DOGARA

As the 2023 general elections approaches so fast, with political permutations at its highest peak on who gets what, how and where, in Bauchi state, indications are ripe that the ticket of the Peoples Democratic party ( PDP ) will fit a young intelligent and vibrant politician, Barr. Gashon Daniel Danna to represent the good people of Bogoro, Dass and Tafawabalewa in the Federal house of Representatives Abuja come 2023.
Barr. Gashon who is a senior lecturer at the University of Jos (UJ), pundits believe, has the capacity to give his people the desired representation.
Barr. Danna, an indegine of Tafawabalewa local government area of the state, is no doubt, capable of winning the seat going by his verse experience in the political parlance of Bauchi and his track records as contestants during the 2019 politicking.
Described as a peace builder and advocate of the masses by those who knows him, Danna will no doubt bring meaningful contributions to the floor of the house of Representatives that will uplift the standard of living of not only his constituency but Bauchi state and Nigeria as a whole.
As it is, good leaders always emerge through popular wishes of the people, as such, going by the massive number of his admirers, Gashon who has been a loyal and dedicated card carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) will enjoy the goodwill of his people to emerge victorious if given the ticket.
Record shows that Barr. Gashon joined politics when he was young because his late father was one of the top politicians in Tafawa Balewa local government, that can also serve as an additional advantage for him to win the hearts of his people.
Barr. Gashion had his first school leaving certificate at Sara Primary School in 1990, and proceeded to Government Teachers College Toro and later move to Boys Secondary School Gindiri to finished in the year 2000.
Immediately after his graduation from secondary School, he got admition to the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria after completing an IJMB programme in Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, also with flying colours. Being a hardworking, principled and dedicated person, Danna distinguished himself in ABU Zaria to graduate as one of the best students in 2007 and was eventually called to the Nigerian Bar Association and became an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2008.
After a couple of years of legal practice, Barr Gashion Danna proceeded to the prestigious University of Dundee in Scotland, United Kingdom where he obtained his masters of law degree in LL.M-Petroleum Law and Policy, graduating with a distinction in his class in 2011.
Given his very sound academic ability and hard work, he won a number of scholarship awards and was given full sponsorship at both degree and postgraduate masters degree by Total-Elf Scholarship Programme for Nigerians and Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). He is currently rounding-up his PhD programme in the University of Dundee, UK.
Barr. Gashion Danna started his legal career at the Legal Services Secretariat at the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCT-Abuja where he served in the one year compulsory National service, NYSC. Immediately after the programme, he joined Victory Chambers in the FCT for private legal practice after which he proceeded to the UK for his masters degree. Given his passion for the academic, he joined the university of Jos as lecturer II in 2014 after a brief service at the Nigerian Law Reform Commission, Abuja.
Barr. Gashion Danna has continued to gain the acceptance of his constituents since joining politics in 2019.
