FMC Misau Inaugurates Medical Advisory Committee

The Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre Misau, Dr. Rufai Abdu Dachi, has inaugurated the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) under the chairmanship of Dr. Yakubu Bababa Shirama.

A press statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday, by the Public Relations and Protocol Unit of the hospital, disclosed that the committee aims to enhance interdepartmental collaboration and efficiency.

Dr. Dachi while addressing the committee members, emphasized their importance, stating that all major hospital activities are guided by it such committee.

The Medical Director said the presence of the committee will serve as an avenue for interdepartmental collaboration aimed at enhancing coordination and efficiency across the centre.

“There is no committee as powerful as MAC,” and therefore call on you not to take your roles lightly and contribute to the growth and development of the hospital”, he said.

The Medical Director celebrated the arrival of new medical officers, including a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgeon, Dental Surgeon, and Pediatric Doctor, indicating steady progress for FMC Misau.

Other members of the committee include Dr. Isma’il Tiamiyu (Deputy Head of Clinical Services and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology), as well as all the Heads of Clinical Departments, including the Nursing Services.

In his remarks, chairman of the committee, Dr. Shirama assured the Medical Director of their readiness to work diligently to advance the Centre’s mandates, which he said, centered on clinical services, training, and research.
