UMTH: Maiduguri Varsity hospital partners ITF, conducts capacity building training for staff

The University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) has in collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Borno office, conducted a capacity building training for some of its staff.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof Ahmed Ahidjo, while presenting the certificates of participation to the trainees on Thursday, tasked them to reflect the knowledge obtained in their daily professional activities.

Represented by the director of administration, Idriss Omar, the CMD explained that the training was conducted on skills development for administrative and human resource with various heads of departments as participants.

According to him, the training became necessary because the hospital management has put on ground, so much infrastructural facilities in the hospital.

The CMD further pointed out that, with the availability of the infrastructural development in the hospital, there was the need for the manpower development to match with the ongoing expansion.

He said that the three-day refresher course organised by Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Maiduguri Area Office was in line with the Federal Government’s commitment to enhance skills and boost manpower Development across Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
