Giade LG Chairman Mourns Passing of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi

The Executive Chairman of Giade Local Government area, Hon. Usman Muhammad Saleh (Randy), has joined millions of Muslims across Nigeria and beyond in mourning the death of renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, the Supreme Leader of the Tijjaniyya Sufi Order in Nigeria, passed away on Thursday in Bauchi after a brief illness. He was 101 years old.
In a condolence message, Hon. Usman Randy described the late scholar as a towering figure in Islamic scholarship whose life was defined by piety, knowledge, and a steadfast commitment to the spiritual and moral upliftment of humanity.
“The passing of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi marks the end of an era,” the chairman said.
“His teachings, leadership, and dedication to peace have left a lasting impact on generations of Muslims.” the LG chairman further disclosed.
He described the Sheikh as more than just a religious leader, stating that he was a guiding light whose contributions to Islamic knowledge, discipline, and peaceful coexistence will remain evergreen.
Hon. Usman extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late cleric, his followers, disciples, and the entire Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and around the world.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the Sheikh’s shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdausi.
