Misau LG chairman distributes 16 motorcycles to council members

The executive chairman of Misau local government area, Bauchi state, Honourable Salisu Hussaini Hardawa has distributed 16 motorcycles to councillors across wards of the local government.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the chairman said the gesture was meant to replicate what Governor Bala Mohammed is doing for the citizens of Bauchi state.
“His Excellency, the Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed gave us vehicles to help us in carrying out our responsibilities, that is why I am following his footsteps by providing all our 16 council members in Misau local government with brand new motorcycles”, he said.
The local government chairman who advised the councillors to use the motorcycles for the purpose it was meant for, urged them to always interface with their various wards with a view to listening to their plights.
The chairman who emphasized support to his party executives and stakeholders, stressed that he has been enjoying advises from them.
In his speech, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Misau local government, Hon Abdul Haruna Sirko advised the party members to continue to support the present administration under Governor Bala Mohammed for more dividends of democracy.
According to him, the governor has done a lot of projects not only in Misau local government area but across nooks and crannies of Bauchi state.
“My call is, people should avoid following any political merger, as we understand there is a movement in the country between other parties and some of our members. Please avoid any political meetings and site talks”, the party chairman said.
On his part, the head of administration of the local government, Alhaji Ibrahim A. Inuwa appreciated the administrative style of the chairman and assured that the people of the local government will continue to support him for more dividends of democracy.
“More dividends of democracy are on the way, we are expecting more people to receive motorcycle from the chairman as we expect empowerment very soon”, the head of admin said.
In his remarks, a councillor, Hon Muktari Sulei of Beti expressed appreciation to the executive chairman for the gesture, and assured him of hundred percent cooperation to enable him fulfil the promises made during electioneering campaigns.
The distribution ceremony witnessed the presence of the deputy chairman of the local Government, the local government party chairman, Hon Abdul Haruna, Chairman stakeholders, Alhaji Yarima Mohammed (Sa’in Misau), local government staff, PDP members across the local government and the general public.
