Darazo LG chairman distributes 17 motorcycles to council members

The executive chairman of Darazo local government area of Bauchi state, Hon Samaila Yau Sade has distributed 17 brand new motorcycles to all the councillors across wards of the local government.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the chairman said the gesture was meant to replicate what Governor Bala Mohammed is doing for the citizens of Bauchi state.
“His Excellency, the Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed gave us vehicles to help us in carrying out our responsibilities, that is why I am following his footsteps by providing all our 17 council members in Darazo local government with brand new motorcycles”, he said.
The local government chairman who advised the councillors to use the motorcycles for the purpose it was meant for, urged them to always interface with their various wards with a view to listening to their plights.
The chairman also advised the councillors to use it, especially during polio immunization, projects supervision, educational activities, as well as attending every important occasion in order to maintain cordial relationships with people at the grassroot.
In his speech, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Darazo local government, Hon Lawan Babayo Gabarin advised the party members to continue to support the present administration under Governor Bala Mohammed for more dividends of democracy.
According to him, the governor has done a lot of projects not only in the Darazo local government area but across the nooks and crannies of the Bauchi state.
“We in Darazo local Government are united under one umbrella of our party PDP and we don’t have any faction, we have not seen this kind of gesture to council members in the past, we really appreciate the effort of the chairman”, he said .
In his remarks, the Leader of the Local Government councillors, Hon Samaila Mohammed expressed appreciation to the executive chairman for the gesture, and assured him of hundred percent cooperation to enable him to fulfil the promises made during electioneering campaigns.
The distribution ceremony witnessed the presence of the deputy chairman Hajiya Amina Musa (Tauraruwan Darazo) , Head of Administration Abba Isa salihu Doguwa, the local government party chairman Alh Lawan Babayo Gabarin, Alh. Abbas waziri Former PDP party chairman, Alh Ahmed Mohammed (Jarman Darazo) the Representative of District head of Darazo, local government staff, PDP members across the local government Among others.
