Gov Mohammed mourns victims of bandits’ attack in Alkaleri LG, reassures safer Bauchi state

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has condoled families of the recent bandits’ attack in Mansur village, Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor who made this known in a press statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado on Monday, noted that news of the unfortunate incident was received with deep sorrow.

“His Excellency , the executive Governor of Bauchi state received with deep sorrow, preliminary reports indicating that members of professional hunters on a route patrol along Duguri, Mansur and Dajin Mada forest were ambushed and killed by suspected bandits in Mansur village, Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State”, the statement said.

He stated that the heinous and senseless act of violence is a painful reminder of the continued threat posed by criminal elements who seek to disrupt the peace and security of Bauchi communities.

“The Governor extends his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the people of Alkaleri Local Government, and indeed the entire Bauchi State”, Comrade Gidado stated.

He added that the governor also prayed for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty to protect their communities.

Comrade Gidado noted that the governor reiterated the commitment of his administration to tackling all forms of insecurity across the state, calling on residents to stand united and work hand-in-hand with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that can help prevent such tragic occurrences in the future.

The governor assured that while the government intensifies collaboration with security forces to bring the perpetrators of this dastardly act to justice, no effort will be spared in ensuring that Bauchi remains a safe and peaceful state for all.
