UMTH holds 2024/2025 Combined Matriculation Ceremony

The University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital UMTH has conducted its 2024/2025 Matriculation Ceremony with about one hundred and thirty students recently admitted into the schools of Biomedical Engineering Technology and Health Information Management.
The newly admitted students were presented to the Chief Medical Director UMTH as they set to embark on a two year National and Higher National Diploma programmes.
The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Professor Ahmed Ahidjo represented by the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee Professor Modu Baba Kagu congratulated the new students and enjoined them to take their studies serious.
Declaring the ceremony open, Director of Administration and also Chairman of the occasion, Idriss Omar admonished the new students to focus on their studies and shun social vices.
In his remarks the former Deputy Chairman Medical Advisory Committee on Training, Dr Abubakar Abiso enumerated some of the achievements recorded in the schools during his tenure to include renovation of hostels and procurement of equipment among others.
On his part, the new Deputy Chairman Medical Advisory Committee on Training, Dr Lawan M. Bukar assured of his readiness to provide conducive environment for teaching and learning.
Some of the matriculating students promised to put in their best in their educational pursuit.
