Nigerian Government,
We really need to speak. Whenever the minimum wage goes up, we the people can be sure it is progress—a blessing to the masses in needs. But do you pay any heed to what happens after it? Goods and services increase, and the price of living just gets even bad.

Did I make any mistake in my translation?.

You claim to be relieving us of our hardships, but on the ground, the story is different.

Therefore, we ask: Is this salary increase for our benefit, or is this a political ploy to placate demonstrations? Are you addressing our fundamental economic issues, or are you merely instituting band-aid measures?

We deserve truth and actual solutions. It is time to implement policies that stabilize the economy, limit inflation, and make pay increases lead to actual improvements in our lives. Otherwise, all these changes amount to nothing but illusions of progress.
