Prof. Yusuf re-emerges as CMD federal university teaching hospital Gombe

Prof. Yusuf Mohammed Abdullahi has been reappointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Chief Medical Director of federal teaching hospital Gombe, Gombe state.

The president announced the appointment of Prof Yusuf and Five others as Chief Medical Directors (CMDs) for federal government-owned hospitals in a statement on Friday.

The Six appointees are to serve as CMDs of federal health Institutions in Gombe, Akure, Azare in Bauchi, Lafiya, Maiduguri, and Kafanchan.

According to president Tinubu, prof. Yusuf Mohammed Abdullahi was reappointed as the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe due to his hard work, dedication to duty, focus, integrity an outstanding performance during his first term.

The statement further disclosed that prof. Yusuf’s reappointment underscores his exceptional leadership and contributions to the hospital’s growth.

All appointments, according to President Tinubu, are for four years, effective from the respective dates of assumption of office.

Prof. Yusuf Mohammed Abdullahi’s new term as CMD of the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe takes effect September 5, 2024.

In the statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday, the president congratulated the newly appointed and reappointed Chief Medical Directors, urging them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and service delivery in their respective roles.

The president reiterated the commitment of his administration to improving healthcare infrastructure and ensuring all Nigerians have access to quality medical services.
