Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians congratulates Gov Bala over re-election victory

The Bauchi State Chapter of Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians (CNNC) has congratulated Governor Bala Mohammed of the state over his re-election victory at the recent Governorship polls.

Dr. Timothy Ishaya Gwami,the Chairman of the CNNC who made this known after the presentation of Certificate of Return to the governor by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Friday expressed gratitude to God over the victory of the Governor.

Dr. Timothy further expressed confidence that the second term of the Governor is going to be very beneficial to the people of Bauchi state, most especially, the rural dwellers.

He described the outcome of the Bauchi state gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections as a clear representation of the wishes of the people of the state.

“His emergence as a re-elected Governor of our dear state is a good evidence that the people of Bauchi state believe so much in his style of leadership which is all inclusive”, he said.

Dr. Gwami pointed out that the re-election victory of Bala Mohammed is not unconnected with the fact that the people want continuity of his good governance and great things that he stands for.

“For us in the state, we have spoken aloud through our votes for the overall interest of our people who benefited immensely from the administration of Kauran Bauchi in the areas of peace, Women and youths empowerment, support to health and Education”, he said.

Dr. Timothy Gwami who urged the governor to maintain the tempo, pointed out that the group has conducted series of programs within and outside the state during his tenure which include peace building project, vocational training to orphans and vulnerable, educational support to people with disability and distribution of relive materials to Victims of clash in Warji and Yelwa irrespective of any differences.

He assured that more activities is underway for the best interest of Bauchi state.

Dr. Gwami called on religious and traditional leaders in the state to educate their followers on the importance of unity, peace and harmonious relationship to pave way for rapid development.

On her part, the Bauchi state Women leader of the group, Miss Elizabeth Dauda Dabara, assured the governor of their total support and commitment to his administration, praying that God strengthens the governor and his Deputy physically, mentally and spiritually as they continues to pilot the affairs of Bauchi State for the next four years.
