APC’s Alhaji Sabo Bappayo wins Misau/Dambam Reps Primary election

As results of the All Progressive Congress (APC) keeps on counting, Alhaji Sabo Bappayo has defeated his rivals to emerge the winner of house of representatives Primary election for Misau/Dambam federal constituency of Bauchi state.

Our Corresspondent observed that the Misau/Dambam federal constituency Primary election was conducted yesterday for Four contestants.

According to the results, the total votes cast stood at 100, out of which Alhaji Sabo Bappayo polled 65 votes to defeat his closest rivals, Sulaiman Yamai got 17 votes while Mohammed Aliko polled 13 delegates’ votes.

The results also showed that Sadiq Ahmed Iliyasu scored 5 votes.

Baushe Daily Times reports that the losers in the primary election have since accepted defeat and congratulated the winner.

They also prayed for him to succeed by also promising to team up with him to enable him win for the APC in the coming 2023 general elections.

Earlier speaking, the Misau local government party chairman, Ahmed Maigari expressed appreciation for peaceful conduct of the aspirants.

He also expressed delight that the process of the primary election was free and fair which is why the result was accepted by all.
