EID-EL-FITR: Bauchi assembly speaker calls for sustained love, forgiveness

As Muslims across the world marks this year’s Eid-il-Fitr, Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman has called on the Muslims to ensure the sustainability of love and forgiveness.
The Speaker while felicitating with Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-fitr in his Sallah Message to all people of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large, also congratulates Muslims for the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan Fasting.
The speaker prayed to Almighty Allah to accept all forms of worship and supplications performed in the blessed month.
The Sallah message which was signed and circulated to newsmen by his spokesperson, Comrade Abdul Ahmad Burra, the speaker enjoined Muslims to sustain the spirit of unity, brotherhood, love, forgiveness and prayers which were hallmark of the month of Ramadan.
According to him, “Nigeria needs sustained unity, love and fervent prayers from all Nigerians so that many problems bedeviling the Country, especially insecurity, inflation, economic problems and corruption would be things of the past”.
The speaker while reminding Nigerians that the 2023 general election is fast approaching, urged them make sure that they register to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).
“We should make sure that we register for voter card and participate fully in the electioneering process”, he advised.
“We should show spirit of patriotism and integrity so that the election would not be only peaceful, free, fair and credible but produce the best set of leaders for Nigeria who have the wherewithal to take us out of the woods.” He said.
The Speaker who commended the laudable leadership of the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad, urged the people of the State to continue praying and supporting him so that the good governance being witnessed in the State will continue to flourish.
He pledged the continued commitment and patriotism of the 9th Assembly of Bauchi State under his leadership in positively touching the lives of the people of all the 31 Constituencies of the State, through purposeful legislation, quality representation and strict oversight.
