Gwani Muktar, Damaturu badminton clubs play friendly match in Yobe

It was an enthusiastic moment Saturday last week when Gwani Muktar club Misau and their neighboring Damaturu badminton club Yobe counterpart engaged themselves in a friendly match to further cement their relationship.
Speaking shortly after the friendly match, Siddiyi Bala from Yobe state expressed thanked Gwani Muktar badminton club Misau for engaging them in the friendly match.
He said Badminton game is a game of one big family, adding that it is a good thing to visit and play together.
“You know, when you visit other clubs and play friendly match it will add to your experience and also keep the game moving”, he said.
According to him, playing badminton increase health of the players, saying, “as one grows older, he or she need to be exercising. It keeps you fit and will help you medically”.
He appreciated the Gwani Muktar badminton club Misau who came all away from Bauchi for the friendly match, adding that the match will strengthen both the game and the relationship of the two states of Bauchi and Yobe.
The match which according to the players was meant to foster cordial relationship between two teams, saw them appreciating each other for hosting and traveling all the way from Misau local government area of Bauchi state to Damaturu, Yobe state.
“It is not an easy thing, it shows great commitment”, one of the players from the host state, Yobe said.
Also, an elderly person from Gwani Muktar badminton club Misau, Alhaji Inuwa Aliyu said they really enjoyed playing with their Damaturu counterpart.
Alhaji Aliyu with over 70 years of age who holds the traditional title of Wakilin Wajen Misau thanked them for the warm reception, care and concern, saying that playing of badminton has helped in keeping fit and healthy.
