Hammah bags traditional title, pledges selfless service – Mohd Kaka Misau
Alhaji Dattijo Hammah who was recently bestowed with the traditional title called Dujiman Misau has pledged to dedicate himself to the service of his community in order to foster socio-economic development of the area.
Hamma who made the pledge while speaking in an exclusive interview with Baushe Daily Times yesterday thanked the Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman mni for reposing confidence in him.
“By God’s grace, though I know His Royal Highness has considered me worthy of that position, by God grace I will not fail the Emirate, I will not fail His Royal Highness”, Hamma vowed.
“I will always be there to give my support to the Emirate, I will be obedient and submissive to all the services required for me to do”, he added.
The Dujiman Misau who recalled that he has been doing community development work since childhood, said he has a lot to offer in respect to community development projects.
“You know the Pioneers Association of Misau, we have been carrying out community development activities since 2001. So with that, I believe I have something to offer most especially to the women and youth as we are doing in that organization”, Hamma further said.
Hamma who is also the Magajin Bula, said he was borned in Misau and went to primary and secondary school in Misau before working under Misau LG for years.
According to him, after working with Misau Local Government council, he was appointed by the federal ministry of Women Affairs.
Hamma said he was posted to the ministry of foreign affairs where he worked for just a year before I got my international posting to Niger Republic.
He explained that he was also posted to work at the Nigeria -Niger joint commission For Cooperation,for four years from where he came back in 2018.
“At the Nigeria-Niger joint commission For Cooperation (NNJC) , which is a diplomatic mission between the two countries ,I served as Director finance / Finance Attaché., as a Diplomat I gained so much experience especially in attending international trainings and participation in various meetings of experts between Nigeria and Niger, and also received presidential visits on 4 different occasions and so many state governors “,the traditional title holder recalled.
Alhaji Hamma said he has in hiscareer, participated in so many trainings and office tasks, among which include the budget department with the Director budget and participation in budget defense in the national assembly.
According to Hamma,at the budget department, he was able to gather a lot of experience, adding that while in women affairs there was a time he was chosen to work in MDG facility assessment across Nigeria as a team leader to Lagos, Katsina and Kano states.
The traditional title holder who noted that before he got the appointment,he attended Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University to obtained diploma in accountancy
He said “at women affairs, I worked from 2001-2013 before I got posted to ministry of foreign affairs, then from the 2001 -2013, I obtained my national and Higher National diploma.
He said after completing his HND, he also attended Nigeria College Of Accountancy, Kwall to became a member in the Association Of national Accounts Of Nigeria.
Hamma who expressed appreciation to family and friends for supporting him in many ways, said many people graced the occasion to share in his joy of having the traditional title.
The Dujiman Misau who is now at the Federal Ministry Of Finance , after spending just one at Ministry Of Interior , said the youth in his community are hardworking, appealed to them to engage in vocational skills acquisition so as to become self reliance and directly contributing their quota in national development.
