Saudi authorities declare Monday for Eid-al-Fitr

The authorities in Saudi Arabia has finally declared Monday May 2nd as the first day of the month of Shawwal to celebrate Eidil-Fitr.

According to Haramain sharifain, the announcement of Monday as new month of Shawwal followed the inability of the authorities to sight the new crescent moon.

As a result, the Saudi authorities said the Ramadan fasting should be completed to 30-days on Sunday 1st May, 2022.

Saudi authorities therefore, urged the Muslim faithfuls worldwide to mark the 1st day of Shawwal on Monday 2nd which is equivalent to 1443Ah for the 2022. Eidil-Fitr.

The Saudi authorities also wishes the entire Muslims across the world a happy Sallah in advance.
