Stop hallucinating, focus on issue-based campaign, Comrade Mohammed urges PDP

The Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bauchi state Chapter, Comrade Sabo Mohammed has advised the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state to stop hallucinating and focus on issue-based campaign in the journey to 2023 general elections.
Comrade Mohammed who is also the Spokesperson of the party’s Governorship candidate, Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar gave the advice while interacting with some newsmen yesterday.
He observed that instead of telling the people of Bauchi state what they will do for them if they get re-elected in 2023, the PDP is only interested in arguing that the APC Gubernatorial candidate, Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar is not an indigene of Bauchi state.
“I am particularly interested in clearing some issues that is bedeviling the political landscape of Bauchi state about the prospect of our candidate”, he said.
Comrade Sabo Mohammed pointed out that the APC Governorship candidate, Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar is a Nigerian who has contributed immensely to the development of the nation by serving at the peak of the Nigerian Air Force as Chief of Air Staff (CAS).
According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari has in several fora, commended the effort of Ambassador Sadique and showered encomiums on his dexterity, patriotism and the nationalistic contribution he has made to the improvement of the security of the country.
He said that nobody, based on the provision of the constitution of Nigeria in any way or in any manner that is in doubt about Ambassador Abubakar’s indigeneship because he is a Nigerian first before he became the Bauchi state indigene.
“To make it clear for the doubting Thomases, this is somebody that, if you look at his CV, he was born in Azare and then grew up in Bauchi and schooled at Saint Paul Primary school here in Bauchi and went to Bauchi government college before he proceeded to the university. So he is well known and he has interacted far and wide within the nook and cranny of the state”, the APC media man in Bauchi said.
According to Comrade Sabo Mohammed, what is important in modern Politics is how one has served humanity, adding that even the ruling PDP and other Governorship contestants in Bauchi, no one has severed humanity like Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar.
“No body is in doubt about his capacity, about his integrity, about his competence and about his ability to take Bauchi state to the next level and I think that is what is of paramount importance at this point”, he said.
Comrade Mohammed argued that looking at Ambassador Abubakar’s pedigree who studied political science and public administration before he took his sojourn into the Nigerian Air Force, he is in the better position to take the state to the next level.
He pointed out that the APC Governorship candidate who has served at various capacity in various States of the federation which has given him the opportunity to interact with different set of people at different levels will no doubt perform creditably well if elected in 2023.
He explained that, for serving as the Chief of Air Staff, Ambassador Sadique was opportuned to interact with legislative arm of the government which has improved his skills in democratic administration.
“One interesting thing about him is that he is an ardent supporter of issue-based campaign and that is why he has never join issue with anybody despite a lot of insults, a lot of blackmail against his person and his candidature”, Comrade Mohammed stressed.
Comrade Mohammed who regretted that at some point, the APC Gubernatorial candidate was accused of recruiting thugs in the name of politics.
The Spokesperson of the APC Governorship candidate who described the claim as ridiculous, wondered how somebody who has fought to dismantle the insurgency should be the one being accused of hobnobbing with criminals.
