Youths have been cautioned against involvement in thuggery and electoral violence ahead of the 2023 electioneering campaign to ensure peaceful and hitch-free exercise.
A group known as, All Progressive Congress (APC) National Youth Ambassadors for Tinubu/Air Marshal made the call through its National Chairman, Mr Kabiru Abdulhamid while inaugurating the state and local government coordinators in Bauchi.
He urged the youths, especially the APC supporters to eschew thuggery and other forms of violence before, during and after the election periods.
“I call on you to resist attempts by parties or individuals to forment trouble, manipulate or disrupt the election processes,” he said.
Also speaking, Alhaji Danladi Gamawa, National Vice Chairman, North-East zone of the association, said the APC led-administration has demonstrated great political acumen and leadership qualities towards enhancing human resource development and youths empowerment.
According to him, the APC has implemented poverty eradication, infrastructural development, digital economy, security and transportation programmes as well as political stability among many other key inputs that attracted global recognition.
Gamawa said the Tinubu/Shetima ticket is a platform where two highly experienced former governors would use their wealth of experience to put up quality leadership and move the country forward.
He said that the group is aiming at mobilising support and canvass votes for Tinubu/Kashim across the country.
Gamawa said that the youth group is also mobilising voters to ensure that Air Marshal Saddique Abubakar, APC gubernatorial candidate in Bauchi State wins the election in 2023.
He urged party loyalists to remain focused and support its leadership to ensure the victory of the APC in the state.
