2023: Bauchi APC Group Calls For Unity To Reclaim Power

An All Progressives Congress affilliate group in Bauchi state as known as APC club has appealed to party members to shun divisive tendencies capable of affecting electoral chances of the party. 

Group urges party stakeholders to unite in order to reclaim power in 2023 gubernatorial election from PDP led administration in the state.
Alhaji Shaifudeen Ibrahim, chairman of the group made the appeal during the club annual  summit in Bauchi on Thursday. 

Our correspondent reports that  the  theme of the summit was tagged the “Importance of unity for electoral victory in the post Buhari Era.” 
He emphasized that divisiveness may mar the electoral chances of the party hence the imperative cohesion and unity in the ruling party. 

 “Unity remain a vital ingredient that would lead to victory of the party  in the forthcoming 2023 general elections” he said. 
He said stakeholding, commitments and dedication among the party loyalists would strengthen unity and ensure that the party delivered its campaign promises based on its manifesto. 

“The ties of unity need to be strengthen and consolidated for the success of our party,” he added. 
He said the party has in the last six years performed especially on building of infrastructure, agriculture and the fight against corruption and terrorism. 

“I am of the view and strong conviction that the party’ interest  supersedes that of any individual and it will overcome its current challenges,” he said.

“We should therefore respect party supremacy and interest so that  we can retain power and maintained   a united front,”  Ibrahim said.
Also speaking, Alhaji Bashir Riminzayam, an party  stalwart urged the youth to always refer to history for acquiring political knowledge and  background.

“Those who fail to read history are bound to suffer the repetition of their  mistakes. We lost the seat of governor  to the opposition due to  intra party wranglings” he noted. 
He said experoence calls for sober reflection and a solid united front to be able to fight the future electoral battles to deliver the party to victory. 
Mr Habu Mamman, a party  Chieftain noted that  the importance of unity cannot overemphasized hence the need for the party to restrategize ahead by burrying the hatchets. 

“I pray and hope that we would have lasting peace, unity and stability in the party to capture governorship position in Bauchi by 2023.”
