Samuel Luka, Bauchi
As clamour for the highest political office in Bauchi state gathers momentum ahead of the 2023 general elections, the state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki has disclosed that no vacancy is existing in Bauchi’s government house.
The Commissioner who forceclosed any possibility of the opposition parties to defeating Governor Bala Mohammed said on Sunday that there is no room for new governor of Bauchi in 2023.
He said that the incumbent Governor Bala Mohammed will win his second term re-election by the grace of Almighty Allah.
Hon Zaki while speaking in an interactive session with journalists in Bauchi on the chances of the incumbent governor second term bid, urged candidates of other parties to wait till 2027 when his principal must have finished 8 years in office.
He boasted that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state is united more than before and will work collectively on ensuring the successful victory of Governor Bala Mohammed in 2023.
Hon Zaki expressed confidence in Bala’s victory in the polls having won the hearts of the people of the state through provision of dividends of democracy.
According to Nuhu Zaki, Governor Bala will used his second tenure to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far for the rapid development of the state.
The Commissioner further said the rapid development when recorded, will ensure the advancement of critical sectors of the state’s economy for the benefit of the citizenry.
He argued that among all the gubernatorial candidates of various political parties in the state, no one has political background and leadership qualities of his principal.
Hon Zaki said Bala’s performance within 3 years cannot be compared with 4 years of the immediate past APC government, adding that Bauchi people would not allow their votes to go for anyone than to Bala Mohammed.
He boasted that Governor Bala has through his massive transformational agenda, brought a lot of development to Bauchi, such that no one has achieved in the history of Bauchi state.
Nuhu Zaki said APC led federal government has already failed Nigerians and must be voted out of power in the forthcoming general elections, adding that, PDP has good policies that will meet the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians.
Going by the current challenges bedeviling Nigeria, the Commissioner urged the electorates to reject the APC and support the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the best interest of the country.
