2027 Polls: Group Wants Senator Buba Shehu Venture Into Bauchi Governorship Race

A political pressure group, Shehu Buba Umar (SBU) Vanguard has called on the Senator representing Bauchi south senatorial district to venture into the state governorship race come 2027 general elections.

The Vanguard Director General, Hon. Engr. Ishaq Dabo said at a press conference in Bauchi Friday that they cannot afford to sit on the sidelines and watch as decisions are made that impact their lives and their communities.

“As citizens, we have the power to shape the course of our state’s destiny. We have the responsibility to ensure that our government is accountable, transparent, and effective in serving the needs of all our people”, Dabo said.

He stated, “I am speaking before you today with a sense of urgency and a deep conviction, our beloved Bauchi State is at a crossroads, facing challenges and opportunities that will shape its future for generations to come”.

“It is clear that we need strong, visionary leadership to guide us through these turbulent times, and I believe that the time has come for someone to step forward and accept the clarion call to contest the gubernatorial seat come 2027”.

Hon. Ishaq Dabo described Senator Shehu Buba Umar as a leader who has consistently shown a deep commitment to Bauchi state, saying “His dedication, experience and unwavering passion for public services make him the ideal candidates to lead our state forward”.

According to him, the Senator has a proven track record of successes, implemented various policies that have positively impacted on his communities, and always put the needs of his people first, as he also has the vision, integrity, and skills need to tackle the pressing issues facing Bauchi state and to bring about positive change.”
