Reps member, Leko sponsors 30 youths to study medicine in IBB University

Honourable Jafaru Gambo Leko Dull, member representing Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa federal constituency has sponsored thirty youths to study medicine in Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University.
Hon. Leko who was speaking during the flagg-off ceremony of his empowerment package distribution at Bununu, the headquarters of Tafawa Balewa local government at the weekend, disclosed that he has signed a memorandum of understanding with the university to that effect.
He said under the initiative tagged: ‘Jafaru Gambo Leko Dull business and economic empowerment programme’, over 2000 constituents drawn from the three local governments of Bogoro, Tafawa Balewa and Dass were targeted as beneficiaries.
The Lawmaker pointed out that the gesture was to help ameliorate the sufferings of the beneficiaries by making them become self reliant, most especially at this period of fuel subsidy removal.
Leko Dull who promised to embrace all his constituents irrespective of party affiliation, declared that he will continue to be a leader for all, explaining that the beneficiaries of the empowerment program are mostly youth and women.
While assuring that the plights of the people of Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa will always remain his topmost priority, the Lawmaker vowed to offer people oriented representation to the benefit of all his constituents.
Leko who declared that youths and women empowerment will be in the forefront of his leadership style, reiterated his unwavering commitment to provision of job opportunities and scholarships to the youths in order to address the rate of idleness among them.
Hon. Leko while soliciting prayers from his constituents to enable him succeed at appeal court where his election victory is being challenged, described the move as an effort by his opponent to distract him from discharging his duties effectively.
Also speaking, the speaker House of Representatives, Right Honourable Dr. Tajuddeen Abbas commended the people of Dass, Tafawa Balewa Bogoro local government areas for voting Hon. Leko as their representative.
Represented by member representing Mikang/ Kwanpang Shendam Federal constituency, Hon. Isaac Kyale Kwalu, the speaker described Hon. Jafaru Gambo Leko Dull as a dedicated and vibrant leader who is capable of representing them at the National Assembly very well.
Hon. Isaac Kwalu noted that his colleague, Leko will help the leadership of the House in moving Nigeria forward.
The representative of the speaker, expressed optimisms that the current problems facing the country such as insecurity, poverty and hunger will soon be over.
Dr. Abbas while urging Nigerians not to be discouraged by their present situation, called on them to offer unflinching support and cooperation to their leaders in order to bring the much needed development.
Earlier speaking, the APC chairman Tafawa Balewa local government, Alhaji Ladan Ibrahim Jambil, commended Jafaru Gambo Leko Dull for bringing succour to his constituents, urging the people to exercise patience with the lawmaker and pray for him to succeed.
Items distributed include Point of Sell (POS) machines with twenty thousand naira cash to each beneficiary, sewing machines, barbing clippers, generators, spraying machines and food items.
Some of the beneficiaries who promised to make good use of the empowerment packages, thanked the Lawmaker for the gesture, praying God to reward him abundantly.
