Northern youth group commends Tinubu for appointing competent hands, recommends Adunni for nat’l appointment

A group under the banner of Northern Youth Association of Nigeria (NYAN) has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Chief (MRS) Udu Sikirat Adunni into any available federal government position.

The President of the association, Comrade Godiya T. Adams who made the appeal in a press statement yesterday, also commended Tinubu for appointing competent persons into his cabinet.

Comrade Adams who described the President’s appointees as true representatives of the Nigerian people who are competent and result-driven, added that despite witnessing some loopholes, the president deserve applause for appointing capable hands in his bid to salvage the country from its daunting challenges.

The NYAN which regretted the involvement of some women appointees in financial misdeeds, however, suggested that such responsibility should henceforth be given to only those that are responsible, matured, experienced and trustworthy.

Adams who acknowledged that there competent and capable women for appointment, however, regretted, most times, people are appointed without proper scrutiny due to oversight.

Adams explained that due to president Tinubu’s quest to provide good governance, most APC stakeholders and other Nigerians have been appointed to ensure all inclusive government.

He said many trustworthy Nigerian women that held public and private offices both within and outside the country have contributed so much to the socio-economic and political development of Nigeria.

The Association added that Chief (MRS) Udu Sikirat Adunni is a graduate of some prestigious Universities in the USA (Central Michigan University & Eastern Michigan University Michigan) and also a member of some professional organizations, whose involvement in advocacy availed her opportunities to serve on the board of many organizations.

According to the group Adunni is the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) as well as a philanthropist, mobilizer and capacity builder and an employer of Labour.

Comrade Adams who described Adunni as a shining star with impeccable character and outstanding influence, said her humility, courage, patriotism and dexterity has attracted so many APC members and supporters across the country, hence she should be appointed into the Tinubu-led administration.

“The endorsement and nomination of an achiever, outstanding, and trustworthy entrepreneur in the standing of Chief (MRS) Udu Sikirat Adunni for a national appointment is germane to our collective responsibility to contribute to nation-building”, Adams explained.

The group advanced that apart from her experience, competence, Sikirat’s values and moral disposition and character have distinguished her.
