Pharmacist Burga Emerges Bauchi State PDP Chairman, Assures Returning To Power 2027

Pharmacist Sama’ila Adamu Burga has emerged victorious as Bauchi State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the party’ 2024 State Congress held at the Emir Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu Square in Bauchi on Saturday.
Burga who was the immediate past principal private secretary (PPS) to Governor Bala Mohammed returned unopposed along with 38 other members who contested various executive offices in the state party hierarchy.
In a post elections speech the new party chairman, Pharmacist Sama’ila Adamu Burga spoke of the state executives resolve to return the party to governance at both state and national, including the grasp of the presidency comes 2027 polls.
“We are very happy today that we are sitting here in the Government House, conducting this process saying, ‘Allah Ya Sauwaka’ for any reason we were not able to return back to this house in 2027, then it is going to be something else”
He recalled that the former structure of the party had successfully performed well, saying “They brought in this government in 2019, returned it in 2023. The beauty of every elected officer of the party is for him to win election, if he cannot win election, then he is nothing”
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed who was represented at the occasion by his deputy, Rt. Hon. Auwal Mohammed Jatau, said that an elected leader is supposed to have three qualities namely capacity, integrity and a wide range of capabilities.
The elections are being supervised by the state Congress electoral committee chairman, Ambassador Elgash Umar who also doubled up as the Yobe state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
