Philanthropist, Alh Bappayo Empowered Over 250 Graduates in Misau

Known for his selfless service and empowerment drive, Alh Bappayo shehu who worked meritoriousely for 8 years of two tenures as executive Director finance and Account at Niger Delta power holding company created employment opportunities for about 250 graduates from Misau local government area of Bauchi state and even beyond.

This development was made known during a special walima organized in his favor by his family and friends in Misau on Saturday at Chartwell Hotel and Tours.

Earlier before the commencement of walima, Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof Muhammad Ali Pate CON who congratulated Alh Bappayo, appreciated his contributions to the development of not only Misau Emirate council but Nigeria as a whole.

The Minister also described Bappayo’s empowerment drive as good attributes of an indigenous and patriotic citizens who stood out as an example to people of Misau.

The minister while speaking during the flag-off of distribution of relief materials to the victims of flood disaster at the palace of Emir of Misau Saturday, stated that despite being retired but not tired, the selfless services of Bappayo are still needed.

Our Correspondent reports that the distribution exercise was organised by Chigari foundation in collaboration of Nigerian Medical Association NMA for victims of flood across three emirate councils of Misau, Katagum and Jama’are.

During the walima, former permanent secretary and also classmate to the Bappayo shehu read his citation, chronicling his chain of his work from private sector to public sector.

Bappayo shehu was Acting Accountant General of the Federation, a dedicated Civil Servant, hardworking, a man of integrity and is known for his cordial relationship with the people.

Before his exit from private and public sector, Bappayo secured permanent job appointments to over 250 people with Diploma and first Degree across the Misau Emirate and beyond and has always been appreciated by the people of Misau who referred him as Dattijon Kirki (Good Elder).

At the end of the walima, community, union’s and individuals presented awards and certificates of appreciations to Alh Bappayo shehu for his well deserved and development oriented contributions to both his immediate community during his service in private and public sector.

The walima was attended by his primary and secondary school mates, politicians, traditional rulers, family members, business people, civil servants and students across the country.
