DASSOBA In Bauchi Fetes State PDP Chairman, Pharmacist Burga

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Bauchi state, Pharmacist Sama’ila Adamu Burga has said that he lacks words to thank his alma-mata for all that they have been doing to him for decades.

Pharmacist Sama’ila Adamu Burga was Tuesday in Bauchi responding to a reception organized in his honour by Dass Old Boys Association (DASSOBA) where he said,“It has been about 46 years, but it is not today. So we have to open it up so that other members would know who were the pioneers of this institution. Today I am really overwhelmed by seeing my own, with whom we have started together.”

He added that “Frankly speaking, I lack words to thank you people, despite all my shortcomings, you are always behind me”.

Burga added, “This is basically because you have so much trust in me. I will not talk much, the only thing I will desire from all of you, is to remember me in your prayers.

Burga, who was a fortnight ago elected to the State PDP Chairman seat, stated “So, all of you if I Am having any problem along the line, and I need the cooperation of my own constituency, I will definitely look for you, thanks you very much for seeing me fit to be on this seat”.

The PDP chairman who was bestowed with the honour of ‘Ambassador of DASSOBA’, promised to reciprocate what they have shown to him Tuesday.

The incumbent DASSOBA Chairman, Dr. High Chief Samuel Emmanuel Okolo said members decided to physically meet him so that he should not forget those he met while rising up.

Mr. Okoko who is a CEO Larema Hotels Bauchi and Asaba explained that it is also for him to remember his old friends and brothers, and pleaded with him not to forget his humble beginning and where he is coming from, and for him not to throw away the ladder while climbing up.

Sarkin Bakin Kudu of Bauchi told Burga, “So, while you are climbing up, please you should not throw away the ladder which you use in climbing up. Because in case you are coming down to pick something, you may break your way if the ladder is not there”.

“It is in this regard therefore, we come to remind you, to let you know that you’re still our own. We are praying for you and prayers for you would not cease. All of us cannot be here, but when one of us is here, we want to believe that we are all there. You should please answer our calls, remember us and make DASSOBA proud”.

Okolo conclusively reminded Burga, “DASSOBA is broke, DASSOBA needs help, with you in this office and some of us that are placed, I want use this opportunity to please call on you, to assist financially and otherwise, to see to the growth of DASSOBA. We cannot have people like you here, and we will be crying for funds and for support”.
