FTH Gombe offers 48 hours free health services for vulnerable persons

The Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH) Gombe has disclosed plans to offer 48 hours free health services to vulnerable members of the society.
The free health services, according to a statement from the hospital management is under NEMSAS program at the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe (FTHG).
It said that the program is an initiative aimed at providing free health support to vulnerable individuals and the general public during the first 48 hours of emergency cases.
“This program was made possible through the approval of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and Hon. Minister of Health Dr. Ali Pate, with support from Gombe State Governor Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya Danmajen Gombe.
“The National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System (NEMSAS) program was pioneered in Gombe State, Nigeria, under the visionary leadership of Associate Professor Yusuf M Abdullahi, the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe (FTHG).
The statement added that, through the CMD’s tireless efforts and dedication, Prof. Abdullahi successfully implemented this groundbreaking initiative, setting a precedent for the entire nation.
It said, Prof. Ali Pate’s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes and emergency response in Nigeria has been instrumental in shaping the NEMSAS program.
“His expertise and strategic guidance have ensured the program’s effectiveness in providing critical care to vulnerable populations during the first 48 hours of emergency situations”, the statement said.
It explained that the launch of NEMSAS in Gombe State marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s healthcare history.
It maintained that Prof. Abdullahi’s contributions will have a lasting impact on the country’s emergency medical services.
“Kudos to Prof Ali Pate, Minister of health for the federation, for pioneering the NEMSAS program in Gombe State, Nigeria”, the statement said.
It added that the Minister’s dedication and leadership have made critical health care accessible to vulnerable populations during emergencies, setting a national precedent.
