Diabetic Patients Association appreciates Dambam LG Chairman over Drugs, Food items donation

Association of Diabetic patients in Dambam local Government Area has expressed appreciation to the Executive chairman of the Local government Alh Yakubu Garba Tela (wakilin kare Karen Misau) for assisting it with drugs and food items worth millions of Naira.
Speaking at the World Diabetes Day organized by Bauchi state Chapter of the Association in Dambam LG, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state called on the remaining 19 LGs to copy from the Chairman of Dambam local Government, Alh Yakubu Garba Tela who assisted the Diabetic patients.
Represented by the state Commissioner ministry of health, Dr Sani Mohammed Dambam, the governor commended the Organizers of the event, urging the well-to-do in the society to always support people living with diabetes to live healthy.
During the event, Pioneer EXCOs elected to take care the affairs of the association in Dambam local Government area were also inaugurated.
In her speech, the Chairperson of the association, Hajiya Uwa appreciated the effort of the LG chairman for donating drugs and food items worth millions of Naira to help members of the association.
She also called on Commissioner of health and His Excellency, the Governor to assist the Diabetic patients across the state.
During the occasion, former National President of the association, Dr Alkali Mohammed Dambam( Wakilin Gonan Misau ) used occasion to educate and enlighten the patients and the general public about the Dos and Don’t of Diabetes in order to be safe.
He also donated 12 Diabetic Test Machines (Glucometer ) to the association.
Also speaking, the local Government chairman, Alh Yakubu Garba Tela said it is a collective responsibility to assist the Diabetic patients with Drugs and Food.
According to him, it is also his responsibility to assist members of the association in line with his campaign promises.
He promised to sponsor Doctors who would be visiting the LG monthly in order to check diabetic patients.
On his part, the state public relations officer of the association, Alh Rufai Yamai( Maganin Rafin Misau) appreciated the effort of chairman and local organising committee for the effort.
He called on members of the association to unite in order to succeed.
The District head of Dambam Alh Idris Bappah Musa sulaiman also representative of chairman Board of trustees of the association, His Royal highness Emir of Misau, Alh Ahmed Suleiman MNI, appealed to the newly sworn-in EXCOs to obey the association’s rules and regulations and also help one another.
Among those who attended the occasion were the District head of Jalam Alh Saleh Mohammed and District of Dagauda Alh Mohammed Tafida as well as Divisional police officer (DPO) Dambam local Government Division among others.
