ASCOE Provost Decry Low Enrollment Of Students

The Provost of Aminu Saleh College of Education (ASCOE), Professor Asabe Sadiya Mohammed has expressed concern over low level of enrollment in the college. 

Provost who decried when she  led the institution’s Management Team, union leaders, Deans and unit heads to paid a homage to his Royal Highness, the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruq Umar at his Palace on Thursday

Sadiya said the purpose of the visit was to introduce her self to the Emir as the newly appointed provost of the college, she appreciated the effort of the Katagum Emirate for the support given to her to be appointed as the Provost, adding that she was at the Emir’s Palace to also seek for his guidance and fatherly blessing.

The Provost who explained that without the students, the College will be difficult to run, pleaded with the Emir to support the College for more enrollment to enable it progress and produce better Teachers for the State.

She also pleaded with the Emir to help solicit for more interventions from both government, donor agencies and organizations in order to enable the college achieve its main objectives. 

Responding, the Emir appreciated the management of the college for the visit and congratulated the new Provost on her appointment.

The Emir who described the appointment of the provost, Professor Asabe Sadiya as timely considering her vast knowledge and experience, hoped that her expertise would be put to use for the overall development of the college. 

He assured the college management that Katagum emirate will do everything possible to reach out to all stakeholders that will help create the opportunity towards bringing the needed progress and development of the College.

The Emir also called on the Provost to ensure transparency in running the affairs of the College and assured them that the doors of the emirate are always open for any assistance.
