Bauchi 2023: Governor Bala is the only option, you have to wait for now – Shira LG Chairman tells opposition

The Executive Chairman of Shira local government area, Hon. Mahmoud Abba has disclosed that the incumbent Governor, Bala Mohammed is the only option for the people of Bauchi state come 2023.
Hon. Abba who stated this while speaking to our Corresspondent in his office yesterday pointed out that, for Bauchi to continue to witness real dividends of democracy, the good citizens of the state need to renew the Governor’s mandate to enable him complete and consolidate on the numerous achievements his administration has recorded.
According to him, the opposition shouldn’t be in a hurry to occupy the number one seat of power in the state but wait until the present people-oriented government of Bala Mohammed complete its second term in office.
“If the good people of Bauchi state will give His Excellency, our amiable governor, a person who cares for his people, Senator Bala Mohammed, Kauran Bauchi another chance, in Sha Allah in the next few years, the state will witness a lot of development in every sector of the economy”, Hon. Abba said.
The LG Chairman noted that Bauchi people are very much aware and contented with the empowerment initiative of the governor under the Kaura Economic Empowerment Programme (KEEP).
“If you look at this programme, no government has ever done it in the history of Bauchi state such that a governor goes round the 20 local governments and be distributing millions of naira worth empowerment packages to the people at the grassroot except Bala Mohammed”, Hon. Abba said.
He said that the governor has been going about giving support and interventions to the citizens in order to improve their living standard, adding that most of the campaign promises made by the governor have been fulfilled.
“If we elect him in 2023, in Sha Allahu he will do more than what he is doing in his first term of office. On that, we are very grateful to His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed for showing concerns about his people by making them become self reliant”, he said.
“With what the Governor is doing now, if given another mandate, as a straight forward and kind person, who is always after the development of Bauchi state and its people, more is going to be done”, the LG Chairman assured.
