Bauchi Gov sends 2 female Commissioner nominees to assembly for confirmation

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has sent the names of two female Commissioner nominees to state assembly for screening and confirmation.

The spokesperson to the speaker of the house of assembly, Comrade Abdul Ahmad Burra who made this known in a summary of Thursday plenary, said the nominees include, Jamila Dahiru from Toro Local Government and Amina Muhammad Katagum from Zaki Local Government area.

He said that the names of the nominees which was contained in message from Governor Bala Mohammed of the state was presented before the floor of the house by its Majority Leader, Hon. Tijjani Muhammad Aliyu.

He said that the plenary which was presided over by the speaker, Rt. Abubakar Y. Sulaiman scheduled Tuesday 13th December, 2022 for the nominees to appear before the assembly for screening.

The plenary said that the motion to summon the nominees to appear before the house for Screening was moved by the Majority Leader, Hon. Tijjani Muhammad of the house, Hon. and was seconded by its Minority Leader, Hon. Bakoji Aliyu Bobbo.

According to the plenary, the suggestion by the majority leader of the house and subsequent secondment by its minority leader was unanimously adopted by the house.
