Bauchi Gov, speaker Sulaiman felicitate with Muslims on Eid-el fitr

Bauchi state Governor, Bala Mohammed and the Speaker of the state assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Sulaiman have congratulated the Muslim ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el fitr Sallah festival.
The Governor while felicitating with the Muslims in the State and the world at large for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, wished them a hitch-free and meritorious Eid-El-Fitr.
Bala who called on all citizens to go about their normal businesses and disregard any rumor of possible breakdown of law and order during the celebration, assured that the state government in collaboration with the relevant security agencies has taken adequate security measures to ensure that people go about their lawful daily businesses without any hindrance.
“Government is assuring citizens that it is on top of the situation and any person(s) who have the intention of causing any breakdown of law and order will be dealt with decisively”, the Governor said in a goodwill message signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado on Thursday.
On his part, Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman while congratulating the Muslims on the Sallah festival, described the period as a turning point in the life of every Muslim.
He said that the Eid -el Fitr celebration marks the end of Ramadan, a spiritual period for Muslims in which every faithful fasts, performs more acts of worship and shields self from any act of sin.
He urged the Muslims to sustain the virtues of the month of Ramadan which include devotion to the worship of Almighty Allah, brotherhood, love, philanthropy, repentance and fear of Allah.
The Speaker said that the fact that Ramadan came immediately after the 2023 general elections, Nigerians have gotten rare opportunity in which they used the sacred period to fervently pray for the newly elected leaders and for solutions to all problems affecting the Country.
He urged them to sustain the prayers even as Ramadan is gone because prayers are key to the success of every leadership and society.
The speaker assured the people of Bauchi State that the trust they once again reposed in them during the recently concluded elections will be justified, adding that they will redouble effort to ensure the continuity of good governance and transformations being carried out by Governor Bala Muhammad.
