ATBU nominates Late Kachalla for Posthumous honorary award

The management of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University ATBU Bauchi has nominated Late Kachalla Maikanti Baru for Posthumous honorary award during its upcoming 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th convocation ceremony coming up on 22nd to 24th February 2024.

This is contained in a nomination letter addressed to the family of Late Dr. Kachalla Maikanti Baru by the Vice chancellor of the university, Professor, Muhammad Ahmad Abdulazeez and the Ag. Registrar, Hajiya Aisha Idris dated 15th February, 2024.

Titled: “Notification for the conferment of Honorary Award during the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th combined convocation ceremony, the nomination letter added that there will also be conferment of Honorary degrees (Honoris Causa) and Emeritus Professorship of the university on deserving personalities.

“Consequently, I am pleased to convey the university senate approval for the nomination of Late Dr. Kachalla Maikanti Baru to receive the honorary award of D.Eng (Posthumous) in Engineering and Related Enterprise of the university”, the letter read in parts.

According to the university, the Award on Late Dr. Kachalla is in recognition of his significant contributions, leadership qualities, integrity and ethical standards.

“The convocation ceremony is schedule to hold on Saturday 24th February, 2024 at Gubi campus of the university by 10.00am”, the letter noted
