Bauchi 10th Assembly Speaker Assures Press Of Good Working Relationship

The re-elected Speaker of the Bauchi State 10th Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman has assured working journalists in the state of a good working relationship with the House.
“I have to commend the press in Bauchi state. It is one of the de-factos that made the 9th House of Assembly very popular and productive”, the speaker said.
Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman was Tuesday speaking shortly after the inauguration of Bauchi 10th Assembly where he was reelected as the Speaker of the State 10th legislative Assembly for yet another period of four years.
He told the press, “You are always checking on us, you don’t allow us to even rest. The time around, unlike before, we would not get a sleeping member”.
Abubakar also commended his media aide Mallam Abdul Ahmad Burra for his well-deserved performance contribution during 9th assembly.
Rt. Hon Abubakar Suleiman also assured of more collaboration between the Legislature and Executive, especially now that the ruling party in the state holds in the State Assembly.
“With majority of the house members of PDP, we now have capable and committed members whose performance would surpass that of the 9th Assembly”, the speaker observed.
Rt. Hon. Suleiman who said that they were now set to take on the 10thy Assembly, also assured of operating an open-door policy where each and every member of the House would have easy access to him.
“But the biggest thing I would do is to rebrand the Assembly. The 9th Assembly has been wrongly accused of so many things, but this time around, we are going to be more serious than before”, Suleiman concluded.
