Bauchi Govt Completes 42 Road Projects, 31 Ongoing

The Bauchi state government led by governor Bala Mohammed has completed no fewer than 42 people oriented road projects across the state and the other 31 are ongoing in barely five 5 years of his administration.
This was stated by state commissioner ministry of works and transport, Hon. Ibrahim Gambo Galadima yesterday during the ongoing ministerial press briefing, said the Governor Bala Mohammed administration has recorded a remarkable achievement geared towards reversing the ugly trend in road construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of major public.
He noted that the present administration has made giant commitments to pursue its line up ambitious infrastructural development plan “My Bauchi Project” and the Bauchi State Medium Development plan 2021- 2025.
He further stated that as part of an effort by the Government to meet the yearning and aspirations of the good citizens where another 17 road projects are proposed under phase II of the Bauchi urban renewal road projects.
He added that the government also completed rehabilitation of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi: upgrading all equipment which includes night landing facilities, 500Kva Generator, Fire fighting equipment, conducting a runway and Apron remarking to enhance safety.
According to him, in the fire service, no fewer than 2041 fire fighting cases have been recorded while 716 lives were saved and N29,470,501 worth of properties were also saved.
Gambo used the occasion to congratulate governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for receiving a great award of Excellence in Urban renewal from the Commander in chief of the Armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Earlier, in his remarks after a presentation by the Ministry of Works and Transport, the Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Information and Communication Alh. Usman Danturaki reminded that the Ministerial briefing was a deliberate effort by the Ministry of Information to showcase good policies and programmes of this administration at various MDAs.
Alh. Usman Danturaki described the Ministry of Works’s presentation as an interactive session and emphasized that the Ministry’s support towards assisting the Governor to achieve his dream on Urban renewal and rural transformation is commendable.
