Bauchi Govt handsover General Hospital Misau to federal Government

The Bauchi State Government has formally handed over the General Hospital Misau to the Federal Government, paving the way for the establishment of a Federal Medical Center in the area.

This move is part of Governor Bala Mohammed’s vision to provide top-notch healthcare services to the people of Bauchi.

According to Commissioner of Health, Dr. Adamu Umar Sambo, the State Executive Council ratified the transfer of the hospital during a recent meeting.

“This development demonstrates Governor Mohammed’s commitment to improving healthcare in Bauchi. We are working tirelessly to ensure our citizens receive the best possible medical attention,” Dr. Sambo explained.

In another significant development, the Council approved the construction of critical road projects across the state.

The Commissioner of Works and Transport, Hon. Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, announced that the projects, which were previously pending, have now been ratified.

According to him, the development will significantly enhance transportation and connectivity in Bauchi, fostering economic growth and development.

Also, the State Commissioner of Lands and Survey, Amina Katagum, revealed that the Bauchi state government will commence a comprehensive program to name streets and houses across the twenty local government areas.

He noted that the initiative will facilitate easy identification and navigation, making Bauchi a more organized and modern state.

During the briefing, the Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed, reassured citizens that there are no confirmed cholera cases in the state.

He urged residents to maintain good hygiene practices and keep their environments clean to prevent the spread of diseases.

The government officials noted that these developments demonstrate the Bauchi State Government’s dedication to transforming the state’s healthcare and infrastructure landscape.
