Bauchi Govt signs MoU with FG, commends conversion of Misau General hospital to FMC

Bauchi state government has on Monday, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Federal Government with a view to improving health care delivery to the people of the state.
Our Correspondent reports that, during the signing of the MoU, General hospital Misau which has been upgraded to the status of Federal Medical Centre was handed over to the minister of health, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate by the Bauchi state government.
Governor Bala Mohammed of the state signed the MoU on behalf of the state government while the minister of health stood in for the federal government during the official handing and taking over ceremony of the hospital.
Bala Mohammed while speaking, appreciated the federal government for upgrading the Federal Medical Centre Azare to a Teaching Hospital.
The Governor who described the gesture as a welcome development, reiterated his administration’s commitment to partnering the Federal Ministry of Health for effective healthcare delivery in the state.
He appreciated the Honourable Minister of Health, Professor Mohammed Ali Pate for being a good ambassador of the state by providing a number of health infrastructure to the state since his appointment.
Bala Mohammed said the upgrade of the General Hospital Misau would go a long way in assisting the state government to provide efficient healthcare services to the benefiting communities.
The Governor who promised make good use of the facility in order to achieve the desired objectives, said Bauchi is proud of the minister of health for his immense contributions to development of the state.
“Today is a very auspicious day for the Government and the good people of Bauchi State because the signing of our MoU with the Federal Ministry of Health led by Professor Ali Pate is a great achievement”, he said.
“Bauchi is very proud of the Honorable Minister of Health for being a good ambassador of his state. We are happy that he is representing us well at the Federal Government.” He added.
Earlier speaking, the Honourable Minister of Health, Professor Mohammed Ali Pate applauded the Governor for his administration’s investment in the health sector.
Prof Fate also reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Federal Government towards sustaining collaboration with critical stakeholders.
